Port cost services timeline

2000-2004

Founder, Bryan Phillips, was part of a core team at Inchcape Shipping Services that established the “Hub Agency” value proposition that was underpinned by YourISS, the world’s first web-based agency platform with online approval of port costs.

2004-2017

Hub agency is established, and the DA outsourcing business model starts gaining traction, new port cost players enter the market to compete with hub agents.

2017-December 2023

Successful start-ups (OCEANSMART and Cargoinsight) launched by our founder, the port cost optimization service provided by these companies highlighted significant opportunities for differentiation in the port cost outsourcing market.

June 2024

trueport founder and Managing Director, Bryan Phillips, and Galactic Beacon Ventures agree on funding and launch trueport.
